Pollyanna is the story of an orphan who is sent to live with her wealthy but stern Aunt Polly. But Pollyanna doesn’t seem to notice how strict her aunt really is and when feeling unhappy, she simply plays her “glad” game taught by her father-finding something to be glad about even in bad situations. With her infectious energy, her sunny disposition, and her caring spirit, Pollyanna brings sunshine into the lives of everyone around her and she soon teaches some of the troubled townsfolk to “play the game” as well. But then a terrible accident happens in which Pollyanna’s robust optimism is put to test. All her new friends turn out to support her, but will that be enough to restore her cheerful outlook on life?
